I don't think so. I should watch more decent movies or TV.
Not sure what his angle was in doing the sequel, if not an uncharacteristic cash cow thing. Finance future projects? Child support?
which sequel are we talking about now?
I pretty much love all three serieses of Twin Peaks. Need to watch the film again as I haven't seen that in aaaages but it definitely had things I liked. The phone call from his house thing stayed with me forever!
The one he just did. I'll watch it if/when it gets released to dvd & our library acquires it. It did get quite good reviews. I suppose I should keep an open mind, but TBH a dottard Kyle McLachlan (etc) is not something I look forward to.
Oh, I really enjoyed the new one. Some episodes are right Out There and it's still messing with the 'drama/soap' format but the core was highly entertaining. McLachlan in particular gets to really enjoy himself with effectively 2-3 different roles, and is very good indeed. Some of the other returning actors are less successful but I didn't find that a problem at all really, and it was fun spotting them. I was surprised about how much time Lynch himself spends on screen, but that was often hilarious too.
Was he the same deaf FBI agent he played in Fire Walk With Me?
yep, sure is.
David Duchovny pops up in one episode playing his old role as well, which is a highly amusing moment.
I've not seen the third series yet, so I will reserve judgement, but the second milked the first in an unseemly way.
I may have lost the plot (is there one?). As in, I count the first two seasons broadcast 1990-91 as "the first series", and the one started last year as "the second series".
That is certainly not how the showrunners present it, Series 1 was an 8-episode run in 1990, Series 2 was 22 episodes in 90-91 and Series 3 18 episodes in 2017. Fire Walk With Me the film in 92.
Still, it's Lynch. Doesn't have to be logical or consecutive or anything like that.
