Played about ~half hour on Friday night. Not quite as terrible as advertised and yes, there were moments of combat tension mainly thanks to the dubious 'advantage' of faulty weapon responses and limited ammo. You are (so far) limited to just two weapons (initially a silenced pistol and SMG) plus grenades which I kept inadvertently tossing by clicking the RMB, hoping this would bring up the gun sights for better aim (this is done with the space bar, I guess I could customize otherwise). Therre is an ample supply of soviet weapons dropped by dead enemies or left lying about in caches that you can pick up, including sniper rifles and HMG. The aim of the weapons is very hit or miss, and frequently the guns fail to fire when clicked. Interesting. After becoming more accustomed to these limitations (dying several times in the process), I was able to efficiently slaughter most enemies. There is a stealth feature which you sneak up on an enemy it switches to third-person view and you watch yourself execute the victim by various brutal methods. Basically the enemies wait to die with their backs turned, unless alerted by gunfire. The graphics are a notch better than SoF, not so good as L4D. 3/10, will play some more and see how it goes. Not too surprisingly, it lacks the shlocktacular violence and marvelous shrieks, shouts and gurgles of SoF kills.
