We wish you could be too!
Tickets & hotel booked: Metropolitan meat, here we come!
My attendance at this has become slightly complicated. The Boy has to go to hospital on the same day for an op (nothing too serious, tonsils and adenoids, but it's an overnight job). The hospital's in London anyway and Tina will stay overnight with him, so I should be able to come along at some point. I'm just not sure of the timings yet.
that was meant to be to everybody. I'm not expecting Peter to be responsible for anything in my post.
Soz to hear about the boy. Charlotte & I are planning to be there lunchtime through the afternoon, buggering off around tea time (or dinnertime as I believe you sarffags say). Keep in touch about when you can get there.
Teh posse have an uncanny talent for picking weekends I can't make - which takes some doing in my present unemployed state. Family and (mainly their) friends round for a party in the evening so I'm getting stuff ready all day. I did point out that since it's for my birthday and 1 year of retirement I should sit back while they prepare all the barbie-food etc. Apparently not.
We demand telepresence...
Remember back in the olden days when Meats would involve a load of us, after a few hiccups around dates and locations, settling down for a great many hours of excessive drinking?
....because I don't.
