But suggesting that the only reason for a woman to dress nicely is for your pleasure clearly is.
You are reading WAY deeper into my post than is necessary.

other than leering, which IS obnoxious
So obviously, I am making a distinction. I would suggest to you that your continual leaping up and acting like a monkey banging tin cups in defence of women, when there is no misogyny or other negative aspects intended, is unnecessary and it makes it appear that you are continually looking to identify solely with women. If you have or had an overbearing mother, it is quite understandable, but I'd ask her if it was necessary to dress you up like the little girl she always wanted instead of allowing you to be the male you are.
Of course, if none of this applies to you, then I am as misguided as you are and I will refrain from being judgemental if you will.
I have a news flash for you: There is no equality. Not here, not there. Men will always retain male-specific qualities and females will always have female-specific qualities, by and large. Double standards DO indeed exist, for both sides; thinking otherwise is delusional at best. We are are wired, males and females, for some gender specific roles - but not to exclusion.
Just when I think things might be moving forward, females around me will refer to needed tasks as "men's work" or that they "can't do what a man does" or "I am just a woman". Those are all cop-outs for the lazy. By the same token, men should be able to do the things that women do and not be so damn lazy as to sit at table and wait to be served dinner; they should iron their own shirts and be able to clean and do laundry - as well or better than a female can or would. They should also get their own damn newspaper, pipe, cigar, beer and/or slippers and be supportive and a help to their wife, friend or significant other - whatever the terms might be today.
I recently had a discussion with a friend of mine, whose mother did his laundry (and most else) for him until he left home many years ago at age 21. I can tell you, my mother never allowed for males not doing "women's work" and also required self-sufficiency. To that end, I am perfectly capable of cooking, cleaning, laundry, ironing and other tasks formerly viewed as female-dominated jobs of the previous generation. Plus, I can rebuild an automatic transmission and replace head gaskets on the family grocery-getter. But I digress.
I don't NEED a woman, I want to be with one. I like women, like to be with them and do not reduce them to their gender alone. I'd rather sit and chat with women at a party than with all of the boasting cocks. The endless rating of sports teams, machismo, ball-busting and comparisons over retirement plans or possessions is tiresome. Unless there are a couple of pilots there - in such case I might forget that women even have breasts or are beautiful.
Society will survive even if you don't constantly bleat on about femmes and equality.
