He just got an Android phone (HTC Tattoo). I set up Google Apps for his domain for him. How does he get the phone to sync mail, contacts and calendar? I can't find any step by step guides so I can talk him through it.

He might be better having a vanilla gmail account. Should automatically sync contacts, caemails and emails when you use an @gmail.com address. Not sure about on Apps.

The syncing should be automatic, unless Google Apps does something different to regular Google accounts (which is entirely possible).

So only thing I can think to try is double-check he's definitely logged in with the Apps account on the mobile and that it has a working Internet connection (not in airplane mode or anything).

SETTINGS>DATA SYNCHRONIZATION.

Should take hime too some nice tick boxes for each app he wants to sync and two other options to tick if he wants it to auto sync and enable background data usage.
